Customer double barrel shotgun that was loose from the face of the receiver.

Problem:

One of Micro Precision Welding’s gun customers had a very expensive double barrel shotgun that was loose from the face of the receiver.

Solution:

Micro Precision Welding was able to add material to the “hook’ area of the barrels and tighten the fit to the receiver hinge pin. Micro Precision Welding used laser welding to perform the repair.  Using this process we can add a very precise and uniform amount of steel at the precise spot it is needed. This method results in minimal re-machining of the affected area on the gun.

Benefit:
The barrels of the shotgun were refitted with minimal re-machining and labor. This saved the customer a lot of time and money.
